What to Expect from Napa in the Spring
There really isn’t a bad time to visit the Napa Valley, but there’s something a little extra special about visiting during the Spring months. The summer crowds haven’t arrived yet; and while there aren’t any grapes in the vines, you won’t mind because the mustard flower plants throughout the entire valley will be in colorful bloom. Plus, there’s still plenty to do.
Spring Travel Packages
You’re going to find some fantastic Napa travel packages during the Spring months, especially here at the Napa Valley Hotel and Suites. Pairing a weekend away with the Napa Wine Train experience will give you the opportunity to enjoy fabulous accommodations along with a stunning dinner aboard the train. The Balloons above the Valley tour package features a fantastic balloon ride, a general store breakfast, and – of course- your weekend accommodations.
You can, of course, do plenty of other things without paying for a special package, too. Try local winery tours and tastings, local sports centers, museums, historic sites, and even the local parks and hiking trains. It’s not all about food and wine here!
Special Spring Events
There are some extra special events that happen in April, though. Napa Valley Arts in April lasts the entire month and spans throughout the entire valley. Visit Napa and the Arts Society team together to bring a series of art gallery exhibitions to local wineries. This year, though, they’re teaming up with non-winery restaurants and local businesses as well, so the odds of finding an event that suits your tastes are even higher.
Bottle Rock Napa Valley will be at the Napa Valley Expo from May 29th through the 31st. This year’s festival lineup includes Imagine Dragons, Foster the People, Robert Plant, The Avett Brothers, No Doubt, and dozens of others.
The Downtown Napa Culinary Crawl is an incredibly fun food and wine tour you won’t want to miss. The last one was in February and another one should happen as soon as this month, but you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled for dates and details. The crawl includes foods and specially paired drink specials at up to three different stops. The spring is a perfect time for a walking food tour. Besides, walking will help you feel better about the extra calories.
The Napa Valley area is overflowing with incredible events and things to do. Don’t hesitate to ask us for help if you need assistance finding a local event suitable to your tastes or the needs of your family. We want your stay to be as memorable as possible!
