Napa Valley is lively year-round, but things start to kick up big time during harvest season! Harvest 2017 is expected to beat previous years with more celebrations of the grape and excellent wines of the region.

When harvest season strikes, crews work throughout the day and night to take the delicious vine-ripened grapes out of the sun and prepare them for sparkling delights and elegant reds. The harvest typically kicks off in August but runs through late October to early November. Some red wines are not harvested until December, but most of the harvest activities start in August.

• Go to a Release Party: Release parties are offered throughout the fall in Napa Valley. At this time of the year, local vintners release special wines and fan favorites for the new year.
