Napa Movies in the Park
Are the kids already crying that they’re bored with summer vacation? Sometimes it takes a bit of creativity to keep them occupied throughout the summer. The good news is that Napa has a ton of great activities for kids, teens, and families in general. A hot summer favorite is the Napa Movies in the Park Series.
When and Where to Find Napa Movies in the Park
The Napa Movies in the Park Series started on June 20th but there are still several events for you to take advantage of. Upcoming events include:
August 8, 2015 – Alexander & The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
August 29, 2015 – Cinderella
September 12, 2015 – Annie
All of the movies are shown at dusk in Veteran’s Park at Main and Third Streets in Napa proper.
Sit Back and Enjoy the Show
The park is a spacious, gorgeous location for families to enjoy together. Come a little early to enjoy quality time with your neighbors. You can bring your own snacks, and concessions will also be available for purchase during each moving showing. Throw some bug spray in your bag just in case. It is summer, after all.
You can bring whatever makes you comfortable for seating – low back chairs, blankets, etc. Please don’t bring umbrellas or other items that will block the view of those surrounding you. Due to the crowded nature of these events, we do ask that you leave your four-legged friends at home.
Oh, and the cost? It’s completely free.
Even if you’re just visiting Napa, a night in the park for a movie will give you a chance to kick back and relax between business meetings or visits to tourist attractions with your loved ones. Of course, there are plenty of other things to do and see while you’re in the area. Ask your Napa Valley Hotel & Suites concierge to direct you towards some of the area’s most popular attractions – and ask for directions to Veteran’s Park while you’re at it!
