This year, take advantage of the long Labor Day weekend and spend your vacation in Napa Valley. September is all about the bounty of the harvest season. Napa Valley welcomes in the mild temperatures, hearty meals and of course, the grapes. During mid fall, the pace in Napa is much slower, making it the perfect escape for the end of summer.
Here are some suggestions to make your stay even more fun:
- An Evening with Molly Ringwald – On September 3rd and 4th at the Uptown Theatre, you can enjoy the signature spin Molly Ringwald brings to jazz. Tickets range from $30 to $45.
- Get on the Wine Train – You cannot visit wine country without a ride on the historic Wine Train. Order your Wine Train ride as part of a package with Napa Valley Hotel and Suites to save even more! From a regular tour to the Murder Mystery tour, it will be fun for the entire family.
- Visit a Tasting Room – While you explore downtown Napa, stop in at a local wine tasting room. Just a few that should be on your must-see list include Back Room Wines, Prime Cellars, Trahan Winery and Square One Tasting Bar.
- Lil’ Smokies Concert – This is the 5th year for this event and features Bluegrass music series with The Lil’ Smokies. The show is September 3rd and you can purchase tickets in advance or at the door.

Customers love staying with us:
“We were coming to Napa for a concert at The Uptown Theater. This hotel was two blocks away. The convenience of parking once and not having to drive anywhere was great. The room was much nicer than I was expecting. I read somewhere that it used to be an Econolodge, so I was worried. If this is true, there are absolutely no traces of Econolodge left! Not only was the room much nicer than a Quality Inn that we stayed in the previous night, there were also little special touches that set it apart from other hotels: bedside tissue box (I had serious allergies that night), power strip attached to the side of the desk, 3 colorful artificial (looked real) orchids that brightened the room, and a laundry line in the shower to hang wet clothes.”
“Overall, we were happy with the hotel. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable (felt like a new mattress), and the location perfect if you want to be in walking distance to everything in the downtown area of Napa. It is an old hotel that has been renovated. It still shows its age in certain areas and parking is limited (but we had no trouble finding free parking very nearby on a Saturday night). This will probably be our place to stay when we go to concerts at the Uptown Theatre.”
