It’s hard to believe it’s already almost December! With another year gone by, and a long, exhaustive recovery from multiple fires, Napa is finally getting back to the shining beacon of fun it always was. As summer and fall festivals culminate, it’s time to look toward Christmas celebrations.
This Christmas, why not come by and experience the famous and incredible Christmas Wine Train? This is an experience like no other, laden with music, gourmet food, and convincing actors to set the mood.
Napa’s Wine Train runs year-round, but the Christmas wine train is really special (and it’s suitable for all ages, too, including the kids). Called the, “Santa Train,” it starts with an interactive musical journey from our local train station. From there, you’ll wander around the countryside for nearly 1.5 hours.
Your destination? Really just back where you started, but the station is decked out for Christmas, as is the train. The entire experience runs like a fictitious trip to the North Pole – Santa included!
What Makes it Special
The Santa Wine Train is Christmas and winter in Napa exemplified. Expect a rich environment full of seasonal decorations, glittering lights, games, music, hot cocoa, and freshly-baked cookies during your trip. The sights, the smells, and even the costumed conductor make the trip feel somehow magical and sublime.
For the Kids
Normally, the wine train is all about adult enjoyment – some of the areas best wines and gourmet foods. But the Santa train is specifically designed for families. Guides host games, get the music going, and make the entire experience interactive and exciting for little ones. Everyone involved knows just how to get kids taking part, even if they’re a little shy or reserved. Best of all, they’ll get to meet Santa during the trip (a great time to deliver that handwritten list of wants).
The Meaning of the Season
Napa’s Santa Train also goes far beyond just fun and cookies to give back to the less fortunate in a big way. Each year, “Santa” collects wrapped Secret Santa gifts from attendees; big or small, they go directly to Foster Kids of Napa. Help your little one learn the meaning of the season while still enjoying a little fun themselves.
What’s not to love about this incredible experience? It’s good for you, great for the little ones, and a great opportunity to give back, too.
