Is it too early to talk about Christmas? We didn’t think so. That’s why we want to make sure you’re familiar with the magic that is the Downtown Napa Vintage Christmas celebration.
Towards the end of November and through the New Year, you’re going to see Downtown Napa completely transformed into an incredible Christmas wonderland. Events begin on November 25rd, the night before Thanksgiving, at 6pm in Veterans Park. On that evening, the town’s 30-foot Christmas tree, adorned with more than 2,500 lights and 1,000 ornaments, will be officially lit.
Come back on Saturday, November 28th, for the town’s official Downtown Christmas Parade. The parade is led by Santa and features community floats as well and dancing Christmas trees. The fun starts at First and School Streets and you’re welcome to stop for a quick picture with Santa after the parade, too. There are also prizes for the best floats, best decorated cars, and costumes for pets and children. This year’s theme is “Tis the Season.”
Napa on Ice, Napa’s only outdoor skating rink, will open on November 20th and stay open until January 10th. The rink is open every day, including holidays. Check the site’s calendar for daily hours, as they do vary depending on the day of the week. You can even book parties, private ice time, and skating lessons for you and the kids. It’s a lot of fun.
Throughout the entire Downtown Napa area you’ll get to experience gorgeous decorations and more than 35,000 lights. There will be amazing specials on wine tastings, food, and of course shopping – but the entire area will be a welcoming, family-friendly haven for simply smiling, laughing, and enjoying the holiday season.
Make sure you check with the Napa visitor’s center as well as your Napa hotel concierge to find out what new special events have been added to the Vintage Christmas calendar. We guarantee you won’t spend a single day in the area with nothing to do!
