Celebrate Halloween Napa Valley Style
Wine country comes to life when the leaves turn red, orange and gold. Not only is it the harvest and wine-making season, but Halloween too. Halloween festivities are hosted throughout October, so you can embrace the kid in you and join one of the many events – with or without your costume!
If you want to try the magic of a wine country Halloween, here are a few of the events and activities you must include on your list of things-to-do:
- Attend the Pagan Ball: The Pagan Ball at Castello di Amorosa is a must-see event if you happen to be in wine country on October 27, 2017. The party kicks off at 8:00 pm and runs until midnight. Bring your best costume and party with a fun crowd as you enjoy Napa’s finest wines. Tickets must be purchased in advance. If you are a wine club member, you get exclusive access and a discounted ticket price.
- Halloween on the Hill: Each year, Rutherford Hill Winery hosts their Halloween event where you can travel through the decorated and mysterious caves and caverns below, taste blood red wines, and enjoy fall festivities. Members receive special ticket prices as well, and this year’s party will be hosted on October 28, 2017.
- Pumpkin Carving: Long Meadow Ranch Winery hosts their annual pumpkin carving event, and this year you can attend this fun activity on October 30, 2017. The event is for children and is on from 10:00 am to midnight. Entrance is $10 per child. Your children can learn how to carve their pumpkin at one of the many carving stations.
- Trick or Treat Downtown: On Saturday, October 28, several local businesses will host daytime trick-or-treating for locals and children visiting wine country. Local firefighters and police will be there as well as part of the Touch a Truck program, allowing children to climb in and experience fire trucks and police cars.
