Are you looking for a wonderful way to kick off the summer? Beringer Vineyards in St. Helena is hosting a Memorial Day Weekend Passport Tasting Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 from 10:00am to 5:00pm. This walk-around wine tasting is a wonderful way to celebrate the summer and enjoy the picturesque scenes from the Beringer property. The cost is $35 per person, $20 for wine club members.
Beringer Vineyards was established in 1876 and is now in its third century of producing classic wines from some of the area’s finest vineyards. When visiting the winery, guests can take a tour of the lush vineyards and discover the historic wine cellars. Of course, tasting and buying wine are the most popular things to do, and some of the best wine selections include cabernet sauvignon, nightingale sauvignon blanc and pinot noir.
For the Memorial Day Weekend Passport Tasting, guests will walk around the property and savor a highlight from the wine portfolio. The vineyards date back to the 1800s, so there are many historic sites on the premises, including tunnels, the Rhine House Mansion and the Old Stone Winery.
Also, Beringer’s Chef Maurine Sargent will be at each of the four tasting stations. Guests can also enjoy live music and a game of bocce ball. Reservations are appreciated; walk-ins are also welcome. To schedule a reservation, call 1-866-708-9463.
