So, what is Arts in April?

A month-long initiative encouraged by the Arts Council Napa Valley, Arts in April is a celebration of talent that engages local communities and visitors through a series of events held all over the Valley. In the running for the ninth consecutive year, Arts in April will be held this year from April 1 to April 30, 2019. Here’s a snapshot of what to expect in these four weeks:

Town Celebrations: Live music, exhibitions, art fairs, theatre performances, culinary arts and other hands-on activities held in each town to celebrate its unique culture.

  • Napa – ‘First Street Napa: Artist Alley’: An upcoming addition in downtown Napa, First Street Napa is all set to roll out an extraordinary outdoor shopping and dining experience. The street will also host a number of music performances and display gigantic murals and art installations.
  • St. Helena – Arts in the Street: A bunch of interactive arts events that come alive at Lyman Park and reflect the town’s modern, multicultural personality.
  • Yountville – Art, Sip and Stroll: This charming town features over 40 artists’ booths, live music in the parks and plazas, a huge line up of food trucks and tastings at several participating wineries.
  • Calistoga – ‘Sarafornia: Art, Music, Food, Wine’: This 4-day long celebration includes a variety of arts and cultural programs that highlight the town’s Bohemian vibe and spirit.
