A Golfer’s Guide to the Napa Valley
Maybe you love wine and the relaxing atmosphere that just simply embraces those who visit the Napa Valley. But if you’re like hundreds of others, you really appreciate a good game of golf on a stunningly cared-for course. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, the Napa Valley has a few golf courses you simply won’t want to miss.
Chardonnay Golf Club
The Chardonnay Golf Club and Vineyards is an 18-hole semi-private gold club in the Southeast section of Napa. It’s situated in James Canyon, right near the entrance to the famous wine district. The course combines six par fives, six par fours, and six par threes over a gorgeous 150-acre landscape. If you join the club’s E-Club, you can earn free rounds of golf as well.
Eagle Vines Golf Club
There really aren’t many places you can go that are not beautiful, but this foothills-situated golf course was founded because the owners believed golf and nature go hand in hand. The Eagle Vines Golf Club features an 18-hole, par 72 golf course, designed in part by Johnny Miller. It’s a challenging course but promises to quickly become one of your favorites. The club is open to the public, though there are membership opportunities available as well.
Napa Golf Course at Kennedy Park
The Napa Golf Course at Kennedy Park is a full-service, 18-hole championship golf course with a daily fee. The clubhouse features all of the merchandise a beginner or seasoned golf pro may need. You’ll also find 8,500 square feet of putting greens, chipping greens, and a 22-stall driving range. The facility also provides top-notch instruction for both adults and youth of all skill levels. Even better? Kids ages 17 and under can play for free when accompanied by a paid adult, as long as they tee off after twilight time.
While these are just a few local favorites, there are tons of other golf clubs around the Napa Valley for enthusiasts to choose from. Some are paired with wineries and resorts while others stand alone.
We can help you out no matter where you’d ultimately like to golf. Ask your Napa hotel concierge for some help locating some of the clubs closest to our resort and we’ll help you make any arrangements you need for an enjoyable morning on the greens.
