You’ve bought the turkey. You’ve baked the pumpkin pie. You even have the table set beautifully with matching tableware and crystal. Yet you still don’t know which wines you will be serving with your feast. With all the options, it’s hard to know which types of wines pair best with the various parts of your meal. Chardonnay is the most popular wine in America, and for good reason. It’s spicy and sweet and goes well with rich dishes or those that have a nutty or fruit element to them.

3. Zinfandel

Whether you’re undecided on where to spend your next vacation, or you’ve already fallen in love with the Napa Valley area, it’s a great idea to become familiar with the local attractions before heading into town. It’s true that Napa Valley is relaxing, quaint and perfect for a weekend getaway, but we are more than just wine valleys and grapes to see. Here are the top five attractions that everyone will find enjoyment in.

1. Theater and Music

The Uptown Theater is often rated the No. 1 attraction in Napa Valley. It was originally built as a Golden Hollywood era movie theater, and was renovated in 2000. It now includes a great sound system and acoustics while balancing its old school charm.

Who will you see at The Uptown Theater? Both national acts and local artists and bands. With less than 1,000 seats in the house, you’re guaranteed a great seat. If you love music, don’t forget to stop by the Napa Valley Opera House, a nonprofit performing arts organization.
