Your Napa Vacation Packing Checklist

Visitors, this is for you: If you haven’t landed in Napa yet this year, there’s no time like the present. You’ll love how we’re growing and expanding to make your experience better than ever!

You still have four amazing weeks in August, as well as most of September and October, to enjoy the beautifully warm weather. Napa in fall and winter is every bit as spectacular too, with gentle occasional snowcaps and snuggling by the fire.

No matter what you’re doing or when you come, having the right supplies on hand will help you make the most of your vacation Print this packing checklist out and keep it with you to stay prepared.

Your Itinerary

Seriously – create an itinerary first. Lay out where you’ll be going, how long you’ll be there, and what you plan to bring with you. This will help you structure your checklist around your specific and individual vacation needs even before you head out.

More importantly, don’t leave this step to the last minute – if you do, you might find yourself rewriting your checklist all over again.

Cool and Warm Weather Clothes

Napa is stereotypically warm in the summer; it’s why we have such fertile ground and spectacular grapes. But we do sometimes experience rain and temperature tips, especially trending into September and October. Be sure to bring outfits suitable for both weather types if you come on the off-chance that weather is mixed.

A Sturdy Tote or Shoulder Bag

As you wander around Napa experiencing all we have to offer, you will undoubtedly come across treasures you can’t bear to leave without. Having a decent-sized tote with you will ensure you have a place to store these treasures until you get back to the hotel. Plus, it’s also a fantastic place to carry along water, snacks, medicine, and other necessities on your outings.

Comfortable Shoes and Stylish Shoes

One of Napa’s most beautiful benefits is our beautiful surroundings. If you plan to spend a significant amount of time walking and exploring, bring a comfortable pair of trainers or sneakers – something designed with proper support. Pack a pair of pretty dress shoes, too, for fine dining meals, dancing, and other entertainment venues. Or, shop for both when you arrive at one of Napa’s fabulous boutiques.

Your Camera

Last but not least, don’t forget to bring along a great camera. Napa is filled with incredible photo opportunities, making it the perfect destination for Instagrammers and retirees alike. Save and treasure your memories for life, even after you leave.
