Where to Get the Best Italian Food in Napa Valley

September 07, 2019
Category: Napa Getaway

Do you love Italian food? So does Napa Valley! There is definitely no shortage of Italian restaurants in wine country. Choosing the best restaurant can be a challenge, especially if you’re only staying for a couple of days. To help you out, we’ve listed some of the best places to get authentic Italian cuisine in Napa Valley. We’re confident that no matter which restaurant you choose, you’ll be satisfied.

Ristorante Allegria

Ristorante Allegria is located in a historic landmark in the heart of downtown Napa. It offers a relaxing ambiance, excellent service, delicious Italian cuisine and Italian music. The restaurant also features a full bar, private dining rooms, patio dining, happy hour, a quick lunch box menu and an original “Vault” room.

Bistro Don Giovanni

At Bistro Don Giovanni, the ingredients are sustainably-sourced and include fresh fruits, fresh vegetables and organic meats. The restaurant even has its own garden as well as relationships with many local farms. When you dine here, you get to enjoy exceptional food, signature cocktails and the option for fireside dining (sitting near wood burning fireplaces) or al fresco dining (sitting in the garden).

Pasta Prego

Pasta Prego has been Napa’s favorite Italian restaurant for over 25 years. Conveniently located in downtown Napa, Pasta Prego offers a full bar, gluten-free pastas and vegetarian-friendly dishes. Reservations are recommended, though the restaurant can accommodate walk-ins, groups and kids.

Oenotri

Oenotri serves southern-Italian cuisine – and the menu changes daily. The restaurant uses locally sourced ingredients, handmade fresh and dry pasta and exclusive olive oil from Napa Valley. All breads are also baked in-house in the wood-burning oven. Plus, if you love salami, you’ll have your plate full here – literally! Oenotri has over 20 different types of salami and a wine club that’s worth joining.

II Posto Trattoria

II Posto Trattoria offers a traditional Italian experience in a casual setting in Napa Valley. You can come here for a romantic dinner or a quick bite with the kids. But, don’t let the laid back setting fool you – the food is authentic Italian cuisine, inspired by the owner’s own travels to Italy. The restaurant also has nightly specials and happy hour.

All of these Italian restaurants are located in Napa Valley and a quick walk or drive from Napa Valley Hotel and Suites. Book your stay with us and we’ll help you pick a restaurant that will please everyone in your group!
