In spite of wildfires causing one of the Napa Valley’s most difficult years to date, the most treasured local yearly event will still go on. BottleRock is the Valley’s version of Coachella and Lollapalooza with more wine, more craft beers, and some of the most incredible local food in existence. Add in an incredible assortment of art and workshops and you have a serious recipe for the most fun outdoor festival experience in 2018.
Feeling curious? If you’re considering coming, you should book accommodations now – spots fill up fast and it isn’t unusual to be unable to find a room close to the event. Once you’re booked, here’s what you have to look forward to.
How to Get Here
Getting to BottleRock has never been so easy; you can bus in and leave your car behind from San Francisco, Sacramento, Oakland, San Jose, Cordelia, Sonoma, Mill Valley, Palo Alto and Santa Rosa. Once you arrive, the free BART buses will take you anywhere you need to go. If you do bring a car, expect to park at your hotel; downtown spots will be at a premium and may be difficult to find.
When to Come
BottleRock takes place over May 25, 26, and 27th this year – not too hot, and not too cold. Expect shorts and tee-shirts weather with plenty of comfort for dancing, lazing around in the sun, and meeting new friends.
Because traffic can become heavy on first and consecutive days of the event, it’s best to come into town the night before. Many of our visitors come and spend an entire week, with Bottlerock making up the last three days of their visit. It’s a great time for a vacation!
This is the heart of the excitement; a veritable “who’s who” of who you’ll see and experience when you’re here. This year’s festival has some of the most incredible musicians and artists in America, including:
- White Reaper
- Mondo Cozmo
- Langhorne Slim
- Brett Dennen
- Bruno Mars
- The Killers
- The Chainsmokers
- Snoop Dogg
- Earth, Wind, & Fire
- Michael Franti & Spearhead
And that’s just the beginning; all-told, over 80 bands and arrangements will be present to make your musical adventure complete. No matter what your preference, BottleRock has something you’ll love!
Craving something a bit off the beaten path? BottleRock has that, too. Check out the event’s Silent Disco, where everyone dances to beats pounding through headphones, or visually explore art by Gordon Huether and Laura Kimpton. From futuristic architectural installations to hands-on painting experiences, BottleRock is all about getting into the creative spirit.
Prefer a bit of luxury? There’s something here for you, too. Local and on-side spa services provide plenty of access to hot stone massage, acupuncture, relaxation treatments, facials, hair services, makeup and more. Finish up your fine spa day with sushi from Morimoto, pulled pork from one of Napa’s many fantastic grills, or scrumptiously good chicken and waffles from the down-home diners parked just around the corner.
Ready to book your accommodations? Time is running out! Confirm your spot at a Napa hotel now and ensure you’re prepared well in advance.
