The Red Stitch Winery in Napa Valley is the brainchild of three families that have come together and created an incredible selection of wine. Two of the owners, Rich Aurilia and Dave Roberts are former San Francisco Giants major league baseball players. Now off the diamond, they are still teammates with their winery. The winemaker in the group is Rolando Herrera of Mi Sueño Winery and Herrera Wines fame. Winemaking for this enterprising trio and their wives started through a blind tasting group, and their devotion to wine led them to create the Red Stitch Winery.

They have paired with some of the finest vineyards in wine country, and their bottles are expertly designed and aged to perfection.

Here are just some of the wines you can taste or buy at Red Stitch Winery:

• 2015 Sierra Mar Vineyard Pinot Noir – Bottled in 2016, this wine was released February 2017. It is a rich, full-bodied pinot noir with flavors of cherries, chocolate, oak, and earth.
• 2015 Soberanes Vineyard Pinot Noir – Also bottled in August 2016, this wine was released in February 2017. It is more floral than the Sierra Mar version and lighter bodied. It is a true red with hints of cherry, toasted oak, and elegance.
• 2015 Sierra Mar Vineyard Chardonnay – For those who love white wines, there is the Chardonnay that was released in February 2017. This is a crisp white wine with flavors of pear, sea, and French oak.

Numerous other wines have been released from the winery, including their Cabernet Sauvignon line and a few other Chardonnay wines.
