Coming to Bottlerock this year? You’re not alone! People come to enjoy the festival from all across America (and even beyond) each year. When you come, you’ll enjoy great food and music in one location. If you’re attending this year, a little bit of strategic planning in advance will make your experience better than ever before. Stash these five everyday items in your knapsack to stay clean, comfortable, and hydrated all day long.

Sunscreen

It may seem like a no-brainer, but so many people who walk away from Bottlerock with a major sunburn. They get caught up in the music and fun, forgetting to apply the SPF–something that can become downright painful if not dangerous. Always be sure to bring sunscreen along and apply it often throughout the day. You want to enjoy your time in the sun without the sun leaving your skin red and raw.

Empty Water Bottle

At Bottlerock, you have to purchase all your food and drinks inside. This is to ensure no one brings in alcohol or any illegal substances. You are allowed and encouraged to bring an empty water bottle along with you to use at the show’s fill-up stations. Steel thermos bottles work best, and will empower you to stay hydrated throughout the day without having to purchase a bottle inside.

Waist Pack or Satchel

What many people used to refer as a fanny pack is now known as the waist pack. Upgraded for style and functionality, the once-gaudy item is now much more suitable for everyone from tourists to shoppers. Grab one for Bottlerock and tote your car keys, credit cards, and cash along with you.

If you don’t want to go this route, then you should at least have a satchel or some sort of easy-to-carry bag as a carry-along. You’ll have to place your sunscreen, cash, and other necessary items inside no matter where you go.

Cash

You can’t just purchase tickets in advance and expect to have all you need for the Bottlerock experience. Make sure you bring cash along so you’ll have money for food, wine, and even souvenirs. Keep in mind that you’re not allowed to bring food inside; you will get hungry throughout the day, so food is a must.

Most booths also don’t accept cards, so having cash ready to use is the best way to ensure you’ll be able to get what you need when the mood strikes you.

Beach Towel

Guests aren’t allowed to bring chairs on the premises. There’s just  too many risks associated with them–people find chairs that are much too large and get in people’s view. Likewise for umbrellas or screens.

Instead of allowing chairs, Bottlerock allows guests to bring in a beach towel or blanket to sit on. This is an area where you may want to splurge before you come for comfort. A large comforter or soft picnic blanket makes the ideal base for fun.

With these five items on your list, you’ll make this year’s Bottlerock the best one yet. Need accommodations? Book your next hotel with Napa Valley Hotel and Suites and start planning your adventure the right way.
